As you may have seen recently on our Instagram and Facebook posts, or even in our email newsletters, we have had a lot of excitement at the practice recently as Dr Aisha met the man of her dreams, Amjad, and after a whirlwind romance, he proposed this year!
Aisha had a “fusion style” wedding that was catered to by her international friends and family.
We were so happy to be invited to both the wedding and the hen do!
We had a fabulous build-up to the hen do as Aisha bought us all saris in nude shades, which are really on trend this season.
We took a trip to Manchester, and the girls were individually measured for our ornate tops to go with our saris, so they were totally made to measure for the occasion!
We then visited some nearby shops on the stretch and bought some fabulous sparkly jewellery, including bracelets and necklaces, to really add some bling to our outfits. We even had extra bling from Wajiha’s personal jewellery collection for the wedding itself as some of the girls wanted to try out Tikkas, which is the traditional name for the head-dress with the jewel that hangs on the forehead which is often seen in Bollywood productions so they wanted to add a bit of Bollywood themselves!!
The team (except for our Phil, sorry Phil :(( Then, we went out for a meal in Manchester’s Curry Mile to finish off the evening nicely.

We couldn’t go without a picture of Wajiha, also a Dentist at the Practice, who very kindly agreed to be Hostess for the occasion at her beautiful home in Sale, Cheshire.
The picture above is of Dr Aisha (Principal Dentist and owner), featured on the left in a bright yellow top complemented by a multi-coloured skirt of reds, greens and blues, as it is tradition for the bride to wear a colourful outfit for the occasion.
On the left is Dr Wajiha (Dentist), wearing a beautiful blue top, who not only hosted the occasion but entertained us with a mesmerising traditional dance and later led the singing and playing an accompaniment. We ate some beautiful food provided by Wajiha and her guests and learned some traditional dances, too!
A few of the girls in the team made the most of the occasion and drove up to Cheshire the night before and stayed at a beautiful hotel nearby, and then we all met up to help each other with makeup, hair styling and draping of the saris.

After a fabulous speech by a friend and Orthodontist, Basil (who himself used to work at Sale Dental Spa) and who set the pair up, we were free to eat, drink and dance the evening away!
As you can see, Aisha has a stunning smile!
