ZOOM2! Chairside Whitening – Fast, Dramatically Whiter Teeth
Teeth Whitening in Sale Manchester
Discolouration can be the result of a combination of things:
- poor oral hygiene
- the effects of aging
- certain foods.
Whitening techniques will only work for staining caused by some medications if the discolouration is very mild. Teeth that are discoloured because of medication or excessive fluoride are not good candidates for the whitening procedure. Veneers are the best solution for more severe discolouration cases. Once you reach our office, our dentist will let you know the best solution for you.
At our office, we can change all this and give you a “Natural Fresh White” smile within one hour.
Zoom2! Teeth Whitening
There are many reasons why teeth may naturally discolour, including the influence of genetics, poor oral hygiene, accidents, medication, the natural effects of ageing, smoking, and certain foods and drinks such as coffee. Whatever the reason for discolouration in your teeth, the Zoom2 teeth whitening system can have them looking bright and red carpet ready within your lunch break.
- 1The first stage of the Zoom2 teeth whitening procedure is to check the teeth for cavities, as the whitening process can cause serious damage if it leaks into a sensitive area. If cavities are identified, they must be repaired before the process can begin, which can delay teeth whitening for up to a few weeks. If you are cavity free, the process can begin under the watchful eye of Dr Aisha Ahmed and her team.
- 2The Zoom2 light activated gel is a pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that gently penetrates the teeth when activated by the Zoom2 light. Once activated, the gel will begin removing deep stains and discolouration that will be continued during three 15 minute sessions. Within just 45 minutes, the safe Zoom2 teeth whitening system can provide instant results, delivering an average colour change of eight shades lighter. The new Zoom system also helps patients experience up to 67 per cent less sensitivity than with the previous system.
- 3Once your treatment is complete you will be provided with instructions to help look after your teeth, which will involve maintaining good a oral hygiene regimen to ensure brightness is preserved. Dr Aisha Ahmed also recommends the occasional touch up with the Zoom Take-Home Gel, which will help you to keep your teeth brighter for longer.

Do I Need Any Aftercare?
Once your treatment is complete, Dr Aisha Ahmed and her team will discuss aftercare instructions, including the need for regular tooth maintenance to ensure you have good oral hygiene. The use of the recommended Zoom Take-Home Gel will also ensure your results last for as long as possible, so you can maintain your bright new smile.
How long will I have to wait for teeth whitening?
Once your appointment is booked, the Zoom2 teeth whitening process itself can be completed in less than an hour, so you can brighten your smile over your lunch break. This is significantly faster than traditional teeth whitening treatments, which often require multiple dental visits and home-based aftercare treatments to ensure the results last. However, if you are found to have cavities that need repairing prior to the teeth whitening, then it will take longer for the process to be completed.
How do I know if teeth whitening is right for me?
In many cases, patients wanting teeth whitening are suffering from discolouration caused by any number of factors, such as drinking coffee or smoking. When you book your appointment, Dr Aisha Ahmed will examine your teeth to determine what type of discolouration you have on your teeth, and will then advise whether you are right for teeth whitening. In same cases, where discolouration is cause by medical treatments, Dr Aisha Ahmed will recommend veneers as an alternative due to the common difficulty faced by dentists tackling stains caused by medication.
Do I need to continue my treatment at home?
Under the new Zoom2 teeth whitening system, you no longer need to continue the complete treatment programme at home. Instead, your treatment is completed in just one hour at the dental practice and you are instantly ready to show off your smile. Dr Aisha Ahmed does recommend, however, than teeth whitening patients continue to use Zoom Take-Home Gel on occasion for a small touch up to help maintain your smile.
